In Case You Missed it, August 1-9: War

Major News of the Week: Israel was attacked over 160 times by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a terrorist group in Gaza. This was "in response" to Israel assassinating a leader of the Gaza-based group whose stated goals are is the destruction of Israel, World Jewry, and the creation of a world Caliphate through war. No US news organization has reported this as front-page news, but some, like NBC and CNN, have articles claiming Israel killed children in Gaza in response and omitting the hundreds of rockets fired save for a sentence towards the end of the article. It turns out the "killing of children" was by Islamic Jihad rockets, as a video caught on camera. Israel managed to eliminate all major Islamic Jihad commanders in the operation, even keeping terrorist leaders children safe in the process.

After three days and over 1,000 rockets launched at Israel, the state held fast, and continues to fight against terrorism after a ceasefire.

The Joint List and Ra'am both attacked Israel's operation. The two Arab parties explicitly stated their goal is to work for Arabs in Gaza more than Jews in Israel.  

Opinion of the Week: Hamas and the PA are weak. Its time to push for victory.

The United States, led by a president who promised to make Saudi Arabia a "pariah", is now selling them billions in weapons.

Speaking of Arabs in Israel, Arab-Israeli MKs are trying to destroy the Jewish state from within. And Arabs in Samaria try to kill Jews, period.

The lesson of the Holocaust, taken full well by the heroic Shoah Survivors who built Israel, is Jews have a right to kill any people trying to kill them, including all “Palestinians” trying to kill Jews or who will. If they want to kill you, kill them first. 


Israel hasn’t learned this lesson fully yet, but stopping terrorist attacks by arrested the leader of a Jihadi group was a good move in the right direction.
