In Case You Missed it 21: A Big One (June 28-July 5)
[When deciding a court case] Fear no man, for judgement is Hashem's
-Deuteronomy 1:15
------
Hello, and happy Fourth of July to all my American comrades!
Big News:
The last man who survived the Shoah in Rome has died, Donato Di Veroli. Please, record or talk to every Shoah survivor you can. Make them happy, for it is our duty as Jews, and as Human beings.
Its official: Yair Lapid is the new PM, at least until the next election.
The Palestinian Authority is destroying ancient Jewish artifacts at a breakneck pace. Meanwhile, Arab terrorists fired on Jews inside Joseph's Tomb. And the wave of terror continues. And the PA continues to foment Jew-hatred with Nazi-like policies the world accepts from Arabs.
Chaos in America: In keeping with our previous reporting, North Carolina Democrats have declared Israel an Apartheid state, Holocaust Survivors are colonizers evil for escaping the Shoah in Israel, Jews who visit the Western Wall should be arrested, and they support of draconian anti-Israel measures which would see most the US Congress arrested for visiting Israel. And thats not even half of what they say....
As this happens, Israel mourns the state of an Israeli-Arab citizen (more than Israeli-Arab journalists, the Joint List, and Hamas), Israel and Arab states are working to advance relations, and Israel keeps the power on for these Carolina Crazos. And makes discoveries which will keep many of them alive, too, just for good measure.
Within living memory of the Holocaust, large portions of the "humanitarians" who promised "never again" have declared it a moral responsibility to deny medical care to Holocaust survivors who live in Israel. These people are anti-Semites.
The GOP, on the other hand, is moving in the opposite direction, rejecting another Arab state on the basis of the PA's rejections and nonstop Failastini violence.
Finally, Israel's government has essentially passed Miranda-style rights.
Israelis in Samaria are protesting the arrest of a Jewish man who saved a group of young children from an Arab Lynch mob, killing one Arab Palestinian in the process.
Russia is cracking down on the Jewish Agency, very likely as a response to the strong anti-Russia (or pro-Ukraine) tone of Yair Lapid.
Anti-Semitic "Anti-Zionists" are attacking Jews in Toronto. And social media companies let them advertise it as a success!
---------
Iran may be able to make a nuclear bomb within weeks. Meanwhile Henry Kissinger, no ally of Israel, opposes the Iran Nuclear Deal. "Israel cannot wait for deterrents. It can afford only one blow on itself [because of its size]. This is the inherent problem of the crisis."
B"H, victory!
Did the Bennet-Lapid government keep its promises?
Issawi Frej, the Israeli-Arab Lawmaker whose been a staple of Meretz, is retiring from politics. His tenure has been marked by opposition to the insanity of most Arab MK's from the Left. If the international news ever cared for facts about Israel, they might noted in particular his opposition to the claim the country he helped run precipitated Apartheid against him. Nevertheless, possible connections to a Hamas through a charity he worked at dogged his time in office (dual-loyalty the right would never accept, I'm sure), and Frej defined his people as being the Falastini's, even if he was an Israeli.
Multiple sources have stated different accounts of who he supports to lead Meretz into the future, but he has for months been talking about how the Israeli Left-Avoda/Labor and Meretz-need to chart a new direction.
Religious Zionism/Otzma Yehudit, the extreme anti-terror, pro-sovereignty party in Israel, is planning to officially be split into two parties while running on one ballot (component factions). The most influential possibility which could arise from this is the disqualification of the Joint List (if not also Ra'am) from running in Israeli elections, something the party (and its factions) have pledged to support.
Moshe Feiglin, of Zehut (and previous Likud) fame, is gunning to lead the Likud into (what he presumably sees as) a more Jewish era. Feiglin, with help from real (not social media) activist Schmuel Sackett, tried to start a Right-Wing, economically Liberal, moralist (no selling guns to dictators) Jewish Party, based on how Feiglin sees love of all Jews, with an international movement to back it up (sort of, anyway). Whether he actually gets a chance to remold the party, we'll see.
Ben and Jerry's should really change their name to Hypocritical and Corrupted's....
Bassem Tamini, the anti-Israel activist, explicitly calls Jews an "evil race" who plan to commit a Holocaust, calls Judaism Judeo-Nazism, and more. None of this gets on his Wikipedia, nor can it be added.
IDF soldiers are refusing to destroy the Jewish community in Judea and Samaria of Homesh. An innocent Yeshiva student was murdered there by Arab terrorists before the planned demolition of that same Yeshiva, adding to chaos around its future.
Frum women are fighting back against the craziness of the internet. By disconnecting.
Naftali Bennet is stepping down as leader of Yamina, and will not run in the next election. This bodes very well for Benjamin Netanyahu, with Shaked being open to joining a Likud-lead coalition. Its likely if held today, an election would see a Bibi-Shaked-Smotrich-Haredi coalition win the elections and unite the government in a right-wing, Religious Zionist direction.
New polls show most Falastini's support terrorism.
Israel's Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef gave a rambling attack on the Religious Zionist Movement which helped forged a state he lives off of.
The Religious Zionists related to Bennet's Yamina party have been strong opponents of the Rabbinates power in Israel, in particular attacking their refusal to accept other denominations of Judaism as religiously Jewish and their claim Russian Jews who they think are not Halalichally Jewish must re-convert. Religious Zionists of Religious Zionism, on the other hand, have been friendly. But polls have shown around 1/5 Shas Voters may leave the party to vote for them if Israel returns to new elections, which would likely weaken Yosef's pull outside the Rabbinate.

UN Watch scores a victory against UN Anti-Semitism (which is sadly UN funded).
Back from the past: Remember that time a US representative went on Al Jazeera to attack the US? Or called for attacking Israelis?
A beautiful Mosaic, don't you think?
Could a Jew survive politically calling Israel "my people" in America? Celebrating that independence day as better than America's, amongst Jews? With double-loyalty such a venomous trope? Well, Rashida Tlaib putting a Palestinian flag over her head and above an American one, and Ilhan Omar now finds herself blessing Somalia even as they oppose her. So we know at least the "dual-loyalty" trope seems more tacked onto Jews than people who actually are self-declared dually loyal.
And speaking of double-standards....
Opinion:
The Arab Lobby, by Mitchell Bard
Jews don't need to justify existing.
"Jews need to not sit on their laurels. We night to fight for a Jewish state. Stop even entertaining we do not have a right to be in Israel because we remember our exile. Stop pretending Judea and Samaria is not ours. Stop pretending Hitler would be more horrified by anything but a strong, Jewish state. We need to fight for our land, both in the state of Israel today and in her ultimate borders up to the Euphrates. G-d said He will be with us. Lets believe him. Lets accept the truth of Judaism and G-d."
