In Case You Missed it 18: Shavuot and Then Some!
Hello again, and welcome! The Big Stories:
1. Shavuot! I hope all my Jewish readers enjoyed this wondrous holiday of learning all night, hopefully not being lactose intolerant, and connecting our Jewish people and the laws of G-d. The mind which makes Jews so great was on full display last night for most of us, I'm sure. You may miss the news, but don't miss G-d!
2. Israel's government fell apart, came back, and appears to have been bought with Jewish money to Arabs in Israel. The total is much larger than this small sum already allocated to Nazareth. Supposedly, more is already being asked. With Zoabi on one side, the Likud-Haredi bloc refusing to help the government pass basic bills Israel needs to function all to satiate their own selfish desire for power, and Ra'am referring to Israel as an illegitimate state following the arrest of a Islamic Shura Council Member (not that Israel relying on Islamic courts wouldn't inevitably lead to that), the Israeli coalition seems poised to break apart. The Likud is trying to make a deal with Gideon Sa'ars New Hope party so they can have a majority and form a government, but the likelihood of the attempt succeeding is unknown.
A more feared result is yet another election for Israel. Were Israel's coalition to collapse today, Religious Zionism could become the third-largest party in the Knesset while Meretz will likely collapse, according to a recent poll.
To put that in perspective, Kach, the banned extremist party led by Rabbi Meir Kahane based on Right-Wing economics, National Torah Observance and Apartheid against Arabs, got one seat in the Knesset. It was hovering around 15-16 in polling before it was banned with full support. Though Religious Zionism is to the left of that party (they don't oppose loyal Arabs voting, for instance), they are considered similar.
Meretz collapsing, meanwhile, would leave Avoda/Labour as the only left-wing party in the Knesset. Meretz, which seems to support evicting 500,000 Jews from Judea and Samaria while claiming deporting terroristic Arab-Israelis alone is racist, seems to be losing support from a Jews. Nitzan Horowitz, the parties leader, gave cover to lying psychopathic inquiries against Israel, but at the end of the day he was sane and Zionist. The same can explicitly not be said of the Meretz MK Zoabi, who refuses to quit despite being asked to, opposes the coalition, and openly states she works not for all of Israel but only Arabs-even those who aren't Israeli citizens.
Notably, polls also show a large majority opposes Arab parties in the government.
70% of Israeli's, including 40% of Israeli-Arabs (80% of Arab voters support Arab parties, per the Israel Democracy Institute's polls) oppose the violent, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic United Arab List and Joint Arab List in Israel's next government. I wouldn't doubt the desire to see them out of the government is in no small part empowering Religious Zionism, as they are the only party which is actually committed to keeping them out of the government.
Other News:
An Arab mob ran away with the casket of killed reporter Shireen Abu Akleh. The reporter shot by Palestinians during a fight they started in a war they started in an attack blamed on Israel. Not a single outlet reported the casket move, but every major outlet reported Israeli "attacks" on the funeral. The Pallbearers were convicted terrorists

And fun times for those who argue the "Palestinians" whose quality of life objectively increased exponentially under the "occupation" (EX: going from an average weekly income of 70 USD to 1,300 between '67 and '2000, per Daniel Gordis) would be better off without Jews.

→ For anyone keeping score, in New York City’s ongoing game of “kick the Jews in the teeth,” last week was a busy one for the Jew haters. Last Tuesday, an 18-year-old Jewish student was walking in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, home to a large Orthodox Jewish community, when he was punched in the face by an attacker who, he told authorities, first demanded he say “free Palestine.” Déjà vu, right? Yes, indeed, something similar happened just weeks earlier when a man holding an Israeli flag near an anti-Israel demonstration in the city was punched, knocked down, and kicked while he was on the ground. The assault last week came days after two other antisemitic incidents in which religious Jews were attacked in the Williamsburg and Crown Heights sections of Brooklyn. We can’t imagine how such appalling hatred could become normalized in a great city like New York. In other news, the City University of New York School of Law selected Nerdeen Mohsen Kiswani as one of two student speakers to give a commencement address this year. Kiswani heads an organization called Within Our Lifetime that advocates keeping “Zionist professors” off campus and barring “Zionist students” from spaces where Palestinian students are present. Just last week, on her Instagram account, Kiswani “liked” a post celebrating the murder of three Israeli civilians in an axe and gun attack with the text “The independence of their soul from their body is the only independence they will celebrate today” over an image of a man holding a bloody axe. The CUNY speaker also “enthusiastically shared a video of Muna El-Kurd referring to Israelis as ‘Zionist dogs’ who must be cleansed from ‘Palestine,’ while also dehumanizing Zionists as worse than the disease Listeria,” according to reporting from Camera on Campus. - JS
→ England’s National Union of Students (NUS), a 100-year-old organization that represents 7 million British college and graduate students, will no longer be formally recognized or given a “seat at the table” by the British government due to “antisemitic rot” at the heart of NUS. The charges of antisemitism focus primarily on statements made by the organization’s former president, Shaima Dallali, who once tweeted a Muslim battle cry against Jews and whose old Twitter profile featured a quote attributed to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. An internal study conducted by the NUS in 2017, meanwhile, found that 65% of Jewish students “either disagreed or strongly disagreed that NUS would respond appropriately to allegations of antisemitism if they arose.” NUS is now working with the Union of Jewish Students to conduct an internal investigation of the organization’s antisemitism.

Mass disinformation about the death of an Al Jazeera journalist is spreading online, calling it a planned murder by Israel. The blood-libel endorsees include US congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. The psychopathic campaign is part of the endless anti-Israel, lie filled assaults on the truth online.
Ever look at a map? Then you know less than twenty miles between Tel Aviv and an Arab state is crazy!
-More on the Nabka nonsense from last time. Ever notice how the world didn't care about Jews being refugees? My family left pogroms in Russia. Their was no war. We don't get a "right of return" and if we tried to get one we'd be laughed out of the room. I've volunteered to work with Holocaust survivors. Unless you're in Israel even getting basic reparations from Germany is almost impossible.
But for the people who tried to genocide Jews? And still want to genocide Jews? Everything.
On the subject, Rashida Tlaib has introduced a bill in Congress attacking Holocaust survivors for not letting Arabs destroy them. Her new "Nabka" bill attacks the creation of Israel as evil and genocidal. She would rather Holocaust survivors languish in DP camps and Mizrahi be killed by Arab supremacists than Jews be free in their own land.
Israel should have had its Rabbinical and Sharia courts run the Temple Mount when we retook it, if it wanted "equality".
