Oxford Languages plays Doublespeak

This is Oxford Languages (and Google’s) definition of “Hebrew”:

A member of an ancient people living in what is now Israel and Palestine and, according to biblical tradition, descended from the patriarch Jacob, grandson of Abraham. After the Exodus ( c. 1300 BC) they established the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, and their scriptures and traditions form the basis of the Jewish religion.

There are, immediately, two issues:

  1. The Hebrews lived in the land of Israel, which includes Israel and “Palestine”, and at that time included parts of Jordan. Say that, its simpler and more true.

2. The Exodus Claim 1300 BC is thrown out there, without consensus historically.

Definitely write to Oxford languages on this otherwise good definition.
