In Case You Missed this, too: Kosher Halal Boogaloo

Hello, and glad you could join me as I take you through this weeks Israel news (news sadly not as punny as this weeks title). Last weeks news can be accessed here: https://judeannotes.blogspot.com/2021/12/in-case-you-missed-it.html?m=1

Above is Khaled Abu Toameh, an Arab journalist for the Jerusalem post.

He is being "quoted" by Fadi Elsalameen, an anti-corruption activist. The only internet-findable people reporting on the mass arrests by the PA (of which I'm sure there are many more) are Israeli.

Imagine if Israel arrested 245 Palestinians? Not changing the law to support squatters started a war. The hypocrisy is painful.

Great Article of the Week: The Duplicity of "Human Rights Watch".

Mansour Abbas explicitly stated (in Hebrew) Israel will remain a Jewish state, a tacit recognition seen as support of Israel's right to exist. He said the same earlier in Arabic to Kul-Al Arab. This strikes a very different tone from the "Political Jihad" with an explicit claim his loyalty is to Arab Culture and Islam. Whether the increasing pressure by Likud MKs (many of which previously supporting Ra'am entering their coalition) will affect anything is yet to be seen. The current coalition in Israel has already given billions to Israel's, and the police continue to devote a whopping 90% of their budget to fighting crime in Arab-Israeli society, as asked by Ra'am.

On whether giving billions for their citizens advancement is what an apartheid state does, no regressive in America (or Chile) have commented. Nor have they commented on the lack of legal separateness between Jews and Arabs beyond stuff like the right of return (which would apparently make Italy an apartheid state too.) The fact Israel's founding earlier would have saved many more from the horrors of the Holocaust, and that Israel's ROR has saved the lives of millions of Jews remains irrelevant for the anti-Semites.

Fatah and Abu Mazen have responded by declaring a mythical Palestinian history, claiming Jews as a people do not exist and are not indigenous to Israel (a sadly all-too common claim), and that they will never accept a Jewish Israel. Being the PA is an Islamic State and Arab, Abu Mazen would not like Jews to have the right to have a country in their historic homeland like ethnic Arabians following an Arabian religion will. The Islamo-Fascist-Communist (with a hint of Social Democracy) Joint List also blasted Ra'am for recognizing reality (as well as some Ra'am members). Ironically, their claims they oppose Israel's existence as a Jewish state (which is already a state for all its citizens) breaks Israeli law, per the Basic Law itself. But the Supreme Court continues to ignore reality. Meanwhile, the joint list (which thinks an Islamic Arab Palestinian state is fine) continues to treat a Jewish state to a standard a Anglican UK, Eastern Orthodox Russian, Lutheran Danish or any other state does not face. Their opposition to a Jewish Nation-State only, clearly anti-Semitic, will likely continue to keep them walled off in the Knesset. This will be more their choice as it is the rest of Israel's.

Later that week, Mazen sang a swan song to the US government, declaring he was the one fighting for a two-state solution.

The Supposedly-Increased Settler Violence may be a myth: The data, supported by the UN, was found by someone who worked for Arab lobbyist groups before joining the UN, and had no oversight in the process. It also seems being shot trying to kill someone still counts you as a victim of 'settler violence'.

Most Gaza Residents blame the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, not Israel, for the crisis in the strip.

Shoah survivors in Israel are coming together to sue for lost insurance policies as a result of the Holocaust. G-d bless them always and forever.

Also, I'd like to add (as EOZ reminded me) if you haven't read this amazing report, do.
