Open Letter to an anti-Zionist Friend
Interesting song, but the premise is wrong,
Though to many it isn't new.
We're not Germans, we're not Syrians, ultimately we're Jews.
We weren't always in chains, and neither were you,
We're not meant to be victims, so you better pick not choose,
Remember fighting back isn't a sin, when they to bomb you,
Gaza where the rich men eat non-Halal pork is not a gas chamber anew,
Gas chambers didn't kill Nazis first, they killed Jews.
Jews, Jews, Jews, yes Jews. We're not in love with diaspora, though I suppose its true for you.
Histories a river, I'd take it with you
Maybe if you're lucky, you'll remember the dreams too
But if you abandon the prayers of Jerusalem, I suppose the Jew is gone in you
Yiddish isn't wrong, nor is a freedom song
But lying about Jews isn't new
No need to oppressors dialogue with you
You could overanalyze I do it every day
See the world from a very Stalinistic Soviet way
But remember Bablyon wanted a new Israel too
So don't pretend reviving Hebrew isn't good for the Jews
Don't pretend if you don't celebrate on holidays you're a Jew too.
A Jewww, a Jew, yes a secret Jew.
Held by a pedestal, by statist Islamists too.
The answer isn't in Das Kapital, or any Communist pamphlet too.
The answer is in Zion, a land reborn anew
In the mind and body, of a reborn Jew
Surviving isn't a sin if you do it with kindness too
So remember, who you are, a Jewwwww....
A note for reality, with borders, sorry friend.
Nothing is universal, except a universal end
But we haven't reached yet
And I expect I won't, too
So lets keep our children living as Jews
Don't forget how the Yids lived too,
That they loved Zion, the dream reborn anew
And they were religious if they desired too
So don't forget to be a Jew.
